You don't actually drive the ambulance, but you do ride in the ambulance and act as a paramedic, completing medical procedures.

Unfortunately, it does not run on Windows 7 64-bit (Win 7 32 bit is fine). While every attempt was made to keep to standards, it was developed in 2009, so not everything is completely in line with actual practice in 2011. This is why it's meant as entertainment and not as a training tool. However, it is realistic and based on actual scenarios. Does this game work on Windows 7 64bit? Also what are the protocal like? I am a paramedic and want to make sure it is current treatment standards cause I noticed someone say it wasnt AHA 2005/2010 guidelines.

I'd like to express extreme concern that there was no review of medical treatment protocols prior to publishing this game. The treatment protocols used in this game are over 10 years old and do not represent the major revision in 2005. I didn't expect realism, but an attempt to do your homework would have been appreciated.

This is a great game. It's the most realistic medical sim I've played, much better than Trauma Center. I do have a medical background, so I was familiar with most of the procedures, but it was a still fun playing through these cases in different roles. I want to try the other games in this series, and hope they are just as good.

Yeah, my experience with medicine is limited to watching every episode of ER, Grey's Anatomy, and House MD. I'm actually surprised how much I knew just based on that. Most of patients lived, lol. This is a very cool game.

Well, I have no medical background, and I'm squeamish at the sight of blood, so I was worried about playing. I'm glad I gave it a try, though, since there is nothing gory at all. There's only one scene (a motorcycle accident) which has some blood, but otherwise none. It was fascinating to learn about everything that goes into diagnosing a heart attack. I really respect the doctors and nurses who do this every day.

If you ever want to learn more about heart attacks and heart conditions, this is an extremely interesting way to do it. The conditions seem very realistic, as do the treatment protocols. I feel like I learned a lot while playing.

This is the best one yet. I loved 911 Paramedic, but I felt this was even better due to the change in graphics and the variety in the patient cases. It's all heart and lung related, but I was amazed by how many different diagnoses and outcomes there are for symptoms that start out similar. I found it really hard to stop playing once I started, since I wanted to see what would happen next.

The graphics really make the game. I was surprised by the realism, too. Especially when cases took turns that I didn't anticipate. There was one death I never would have predicted. But, I guess that's the same as real medicine? It's an excellent game, and I'd totally recommend it.

You can't buy this anywhere else on the web. If you like Legacy's other award winning medical games, you'll love Heroic Measures! It's the first one that was developed with 3D graphics rather than video
