i was wondering how long it took anyone who downloaded this online to install it to their computer. Mine has been downloading for almost an hour and is still at only 4 percent done. Is this normal for this game? (in case it matters my computer has windows XP)

This game is very much like the real deal, and no beaing an emergency department nurse isnt as glamorius as everyone thinks it is very difficult work as I have been one for 6 years (haaaaaaaaaa!)(It has a tendency to drive people insane, burn out, and leave ER, its so demanding, it is worse then any other unit you can work in.)(Except I.C.U.) (lol) But I am going back to med. school, being a nurse forever in er, its practically impossible. R. Rn, BSN

i think that if there was a downloadable trial that you would have more people playing it cause then they willno if they like it or not and not just buy some game that looks cause it may not be.. thats just my opinion.

For those of you with Vista, I have Vista, and this game worked just fine for me. At one point, when I saved the game, it DID give me an error when I tried to re-load that saved game. I think that was just a fluke, though, because I didn't get that error previously when trying to load saved games, nor have I got it with any saved games since.

Arguably the best ER sim game EVER! Short of actually being in the ER, you can't get much more realistic than this! I strongly suggest playing this game on Easy mode the first couple of times around, though. Otherwise you will almost certainly not beat the game (the fact that the game is challanging to beat is part of the fun of it, though!)!

Thanks, Lisa. I was able to get the game to work, though! I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Apparently, since this is a multi-game disc, it installs the games at the same time which causes errors during play. If you install it separately, then no errors occur. I'm so glad I was able to play the game as it is one of my favorites--definitely my favorite Emergency Room game of all.

I purchased Code Red and Code Blue in a dual pack at Target yesterday. The sleeve that the game came in said that Code Blue was compatible with Vista and it was necessary to run the game in adminstrator mode. I did this but my computer keeps getting error messages that say "Microsoft Director Player has stopped working." What does this mean and can it be fixed?

I cannot get a hold of tech support. I am running on Vista and the game reverted to trial. I tried to reactivate using the "run as admin" but I need to reactivate using the License Holder and Reference Number and I don't have those. I cannot get them through email either as it comes back blank. Help!

No, it's not compatible with Win7. But, you might want to try Emergency Room: Heroic Measures, since that works well on Win7.

I remember this game! I played it a while ago. I'm glad it's been re-released, since it was very hard to find for a long time. It is like the tv show, and you have to network a lot with the other doctors.

I love ER. I've seen every season. I always tell my husband I should have been a nurse, but it's obviously not as glam as on tv...very hard work. Anyhow, this game is a lot of fun. It's realistic, and there's lots to do.

This is a very realistic medical simulation game that has you treating patients as an ER doc. It's a lot like the show, with plenty of surprising cases. The graphics are all done with realistic photos (but they shouldn't make you too squeamish, as long as you don't mind blood). ER Heroic Measures is coming out soon, but this is where the series began.
