This error is experienced by some DVD version users after installing the patch. The work around is to switch to timed mode, and allow the round to fail. Then replay the round. this time, select the fan first, and beat the minigame before finding the rest of the objects in the scene. You should then be able to continue, and can switch back to untimed mode if you prefer. If you continue to have difficulty, please email us at customerservice@legacyinteractive.com

so far the game is fun, but im stuck on the problems with book 3 game. i've downloaded the patch for the footprints, but now the fan blacks out. can anyone help?

I downloaded the patch for the footsteps and was able to compare them, however, now it indicates I still need to find a footstep and the hint is not working either. I love these games but need some help. I can't go any further.

I am so hooked on this game!!!! I had to force myself to stop playing and go to bed!! And to think, I came so close to passing on it, because I didn't want to buy another hidden object game, but this game has so much MORE than there. There real cases to solve, real puzzles to do and there is always something else to do.

I got the patch for the footprints and that worked, but it now blacks out when I fix the fan. Before the patch, fixing the fan was not a problem. I like the game, but am getting frustrated with all the problems.

My downloaded "Murder She Wrote" game stalls on book 3 at the "footprints" solve and "ornate box" solve.

Hi Ptaylor -- there is a patch coming out really soon to fix this problem for the CD version. Legacy is very sorry, but has said they will post the patch as soon as we can.

I purchased the CD version of the game, and the first two stories are fine. The third one doesn't work. I'm very disappointed in it.

I think this game compliments the hit TV show very well. In my 60 minute trial I was very impressed with the graphics, the sound, the gameplay style which can either be a timed mode or a relaxed mode (personal preference). It is like watching an interactive Murder, She Wrote episode. It reminds me of the virtual murder episode in season 10 only instead of hastings rock it is Murder, She Wrote.

No kidding, I nearly played for 12 hours straight! This is a great hidden object game, with so much to do. The minigames are good too, and you can skip them. You get to choose if you play untimed or timed, so it's flexible. I like that the objects look like they should, very clean, and not too tiny. It's a great game.

This is an excellent HOG. You get to help Jessica solve cases, just like in the show. For each scene, you need to find hidden objects and then solve puzzles and play minigames to uncover the murderer. The mystery stories are really good, with animated movies. As for the challenge, it's just right, without being too hard or easy. Definite keeper!

This is an awesome hidden object game. I just played the beta, and was so impressed. The artwork is beautiful, and the characters look just like they do in the Murder She Wrote series. Objects are well blended, yet not too tough to find, and you get unlimited hints. I especially like the minigames where you narrow down evidence with clues. Just like the show, there are plenty of twists in the story. It includes 5 cases, so there's lots and lots of game play (like 10 hours worth).
