E3 recap

One of the best parts about working in the gaming industry is we get to attend E3 to see just how much games evolve as a legitimate storytelling medium every year. We here at Legacy are confident in saying that the stories we tell through our games can not only be just as deep as anything you would see in a movie or read in a book, but that they are enhanced by the unique, interactive settings in which games place players.

Speaking as a gamer, as well as someone who works on games, it is genuinely exciting to see games finally start to embrace how unique narratives can be in games.

All right enough boring stuff, let’s get to some fun pictures!

I started getting giddy, as I do before every E3

Here's one of our artists, James, with the reason why so many of us grew up loving games. No, not Big Ben, smartie pants... It'sa Mario!

This reminds me of when I was a kid playing Super Mario Bros., and no one wanted to be Luigi. Poor Luigi...

There were tanks parked outside the convention center! I don't even want to imagine the paperwork that had to be filled out to get permission to drive up real tanks in downtown LA...

More to come later!

More Animals Have Been Found in Recent Weeks

And this is only one of their stories…

Ban -- spotted by a helicopter rescue team almost 2 kilometers off shore -- will be reunited with her owner Monday.

[CNN]- A dog rescued off the Japanese coast floating on top of a house is on her way back to her owner Monday.

The dog wagged its tail and jumped up to a woman described by local media as a relative of the owner as she collected her to deliver back to her family for what promises to be a warm reunion.

It turns out the lucky dog’s name is “Ban,” and she was originally living in Kessenuma before being separated from her master after the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and subsequent fire that swept through the coastal village.

Check out the video:

It’s not clear how the 2-year-old mixed breed Ban and her master were separated, but Kessenuma is located in Miyagi prefecture, which was virtually wiped out by the disaster three weeks ago.

An employee at the Miyagi Animal Care Center told CNN by phone that the owner had been staying in a temporary relocation center in Sendai since being evacuated from Kessenuma.

The 50-year-old man reportedly recognized Ban after footage of the brown and black dog was shown being hugged by Japanese rescue workers while being unloaded from a boat in Shiogama Port this past Friday.

Japanese Coast Guard teams had spotted Ban during a helicopter patrol over debris fields nearly two kilometers off shore.

When a patrol boat got the hungry and shivering dog, they found no identification on her other than a brown collar.

The prefectural animal center says it is still keeping more than a dozen cats and dogs that have been found in recent weeks in hope of further happy endings like the one Ban appears to have gotten.

Facebook is like…

We’ve all heard of this funny yet hard-to-deny quote about Facebook, sent by an anonymous Twitter user from 626 district (East LA, Woohoo!).  It was mentioned 630 times within a day, and read by 115,289 second-level followers (retweeters followers)!

As a young lady who happened to witnessed the transformation of Facebook.com from an exclusive site for college students to the way it is today, I couldn’t help but wonder:

Has Facebook (or other social networking sites) become a new addition?

Here are some expressive thoughts in Melrose, one of the most liberal community in L.A.

Tell us what you think Facebook is like to you!
